So my mate at work sends me an email about Richard Ashcroft (from well known outfit The Verve) and his new band United Nations of Sound playing at the Enmore Theatre end of July (the 31st to be precise). To be honest, the guy in the group shot on the left pretty much sold me to check them out on account of his Martin Luther King shirt

I had a listen to the track ‘Are You Ready’ that was linked to the email. It was good (particularly the guitars towards the end til fade out) but nothing like the next track I heard – I’m not sure if it has a title yet but I had to listen to it a few times. Instantly hooked:

Brilliant soulful vocals and smooth guitars, drums & bass – all you need really.. so I said book’em dadeo! And we’re off to see them at the Enmore – I’m easily pleased. E.g. just comment on my blog and I buy an album
